Since our founding in 1984, Kane, McKenna and Associates, Inc. (KMA) has been building solutions using a unique blend of traditional public finance and economic development finance skills for a variety of clients. These clients range from municipalities as small as Marseilles, Illinois to those as large as the City of Chicago and Naperville, as well as corporate clients.
Scope of Services
Because of the diverse demands of our clients, KMA provides a wide range of services that can be tailored to individual goals and needs. We deliver this unique combination of services in a manner that is appropriate to each client. Our services generally fall into two categories:
Economic Development
- Economic development planning and strategy
- Capital improvement program consulting
- Cost/benefit analysis of competing redevelopment proposals
- Due diligence assessment of developer proposals
- Evaluation of Tax Increment Finance (TIF) qualification
- Development of implementation plans for redevelopment areas
- Parcel-by-parcel TIF assessment
- TIF ordinance drafting
- Annual TIF reporting
- Business district creation
- Intergovernmental agreements
- Developer consulting, including tax abatement programs
Capital Finance
- Feasibility reports
- Plans of finance
- Financial advisory (FA) assistance on revenue bonds
- FA assistance on general obligation bonds
- FA assistance on private placements
- Production of disclosure documents and official statements.
Because KMA provides such a broad range of service offerings, we can "mix and match" services to help clients meet specific goals. KMA serves clients working on narrowly-scoped projects meeting a one-time need, or "cradle to grave" projects from conception to execution to financing and ongoing compliance.
Capital finance services are delivered through Kane, McKenna Capital, Inc. (KMC), a subsidiary of Kane, McKenna and Associates, Inc.
